An 8-day workshop for the Training of Trainers (Supervisors) under the National Positive Parenting Program has successfully concluded, leaving participants equipped to spark transformative change in families across Kenya. The program was expertly coordinated by Sr. Maureen Ogundeph, a Sacramentine Sister of Bergamo and Community Manager of the World Women Observatory, in partnership with the Kenya Episcopal Conference (KCCB) and the Department of Social Development (DSD). This initiative aligns with the mission of the World Women Observatory to empower and support women, families, and communities worldwide.
Leaders from various metropolitan regions of the country attended, representing a diverse array of communities. The workshop aimed to empower these leaders with the skills and knowledge to promote positive parenting practices. Each participant will now return to their respective regions to train others, ensuring the widespread dissemination of these critical insights.
The anticipated ripple effect of this initiative promises to strengthen family bonds, promote understanding, and foster healthier, more supportive home environments throughout the country. This program underscores the power of collaboration and the importance of equipping communities with the tools they need to thrive.
As Kenya embraces this transformative approach, the impact of the National Positive Parenting Program is expected to create a lasting legacy of empowered families and stronger communities.
